Home of the Throwed Rolls

I will tell you about the time that my grandma and I went to Lambert’s . I was about 7 years old and didn’t live in Missouri at the time but Lambert’s was something special so my grandma liked to take me. We went in and this wasn’t my first time so I knew what I was walking into when I saw the roll boy and all the people with the pass-arounds. It was havoc and I absolutely loved it. It was my kind of place. We went to our table as usual and began looking at the menus to see what exactly sounded the best because we couldn’t have anything less on such a perfect occasion. I looked over the chicken tenders but that just wasn’t enough I wanted something really good and really special and after all, I was my grandma’s only grandchild. There’s no way she’s gonna stop my shine now. I asked her what she was going to get and she said that she was going to get the chicken and dumplings. Eh.. Sounds ok but I can do better than that. She asks me the same and I tell her I was thinking about the rack of ribs. You have to understand I could eat like no other and nothing has changed. Especially being my dads child it just came with the package. She looked up at me and said, “Well that’s the most expensive thing on the menu.” And kept going on about all the other things on the menu. I said, “Well, what’s your budget?” And she just started cracking up. Imagine this 7 year old staring up at you in the big oversize booth asking about your budget. The waitress came and my grandma ordered me my ribs and her dumpling and we had the rest of the visit to just do whatever. But I never have heard the end of that story, especially when we go out to Lambert's. I have always done things like that, that just make people die laughing and I just sit there curious to know what it is that is so funny. Apparently between my facial expressions and my raw opinions I can be pretty hilarious. Not to mention if you watch me long enough my clumsiness is bound to kick in somewhere and you could probably laugh at that too
